1. A Select An Option window will appear and allow you to see what item groups have already been used, and offers you an ADD option. Select ADD.
2. At the Item Group field, enter the first three digits of the item used to identify the item group. Item digits should be 1-9 or A-Z only; symbols should not be used. This is a unique code used to identify the item group. All three digits are required.
3. In the Description field, enter the name or description of the item grouping.
4. Command options will appear; select Add. If you are done adding item groups, press the Enter key.
Note: Item groups are also created when you are creating new item codes. If the first three digits of the code you are creating do not exist in the Item Group table, you will be prompted to enter the item group name. When the item is added, the new item group will be added to the Item Group table automatically.
